Meet Our Yoga Teacher

Benjamin's passion for empowering his students is ever-present and nourishing to the core.  His fascinating teaching style combines simple transformational techniques and is based in Forrest Yoga. His hatha yoga classes encourage you to befriend your limits and expand your conciousness! :)

Benjamin began studying yoga with Ana Forrest in the summer of 1999.  He has been teaching throughout the Los Angeles area for 2 years.

At the age of three, gymnastics ignited Benjamin's strong mind-body connection.  Along with gymnastics, he has consistently cultivated his mind-body connection with a life of sports including long distance cycling, tennis and ice hockey to name a few.

Benjamin is a Shiatsu Specialist and has training in Za Zen meditation.  He practices Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage), Tai Chi/Qi Kung and Taoist meditation (Microcosmic orbit, Nine Turns).  His effectiveness in managing pain and creating shifts in his clients' consciousness is truly transformational.

Forrest Yoga

Forrest Yoga is an evolving style of Hatha Yoga developed by Ana Forrest.  Breathing, abdominal strengthening and adapting to specific injuries are features of the Forrest method.  Alignment taught in this method is similar to Iyengar.  Different from Iyengar, Forrest classes bring a hot flow series of poses into the middle of class to increase circulation and detoxification.  Last are cooling poses to prepare your body and mind for deep relaxation in sivasana (resting pose).
